GUIDING LIGHT

Lizzie leaves the hotel room and enters an office tower in search of Bill and Alan. When she gets to the lobby she overhears Alan shouting. She turns the corner and sees Bill stopping Alan from going into a conference room. Bill tells Lizzie that he is trying to save Alan from humiliation and says that he is doing this for her. Bill has two goons take Alan away, just as an executive approaches Lizzie asking where Spaulding is. Lizzie answers and takes Alan's place at the meeting. Meanwhile, Alan tries to escape from the room in which he is being held, but he is stopped by both security and Bill. Lizzie enters and tells Alan that Bill saved him and the company, but Alan is paranoid and doesn't believe her. Alan collapses and is wheeled to the ER with Bill and Lizzie by his side. He is conscious but out of it. Rick talks to him gently and also to Lizzie about what is going to happen. Alan is taken into another room and Bill tells Lizzie she's not alone. Rick tells Lizzie they need to operate but Alan refuses-he wants to talk to Lizzie. He tells her that she is the future of Spaulding and hands her an old picture of the two of them. Later, in the hospital cafeteria, Lizzie explains to Bill that she stepped in for Alan at the meeting and now owns 49% of the company.

Josh approaches Company and sees Buzz looking for his team of helpers for the wedding. Buzz rushes off, leaving Josh behind. Buzz gives instructions to Marina, Mallet, Coop and Frank. Josh has followed and watches the preparation from a distance, realizing the wedding is today. Billy comes up behind Josh and tells him he's not a man if he lets the wedding happen. He says Josh should take Reva off to Oklahoma in order to win her back. Although tempted, Josh ultimately says no. At Cross Creek, Reva is with Lillian when Jeffrey calls. Jeffrey tells Reva that Buzz has everything for the wedding under control and all she has to do is show up. He senses her hesitation and wants to make sure she's still coming. When they hang up, Reva tells Lillian she doesn't want to tell Jeffrey that her cancer may be back-not today, at least. Jeffrey goes to check on Reva. Reva is about to tell him about the cancer but decides not to. Jeffrey leaves to pick up the wedding license.

Meanwhile, Josh has gone to his church and found a package on the doorstep. It's the Bible from Olivia. An old picture falls out of it that says "Josh and Reva, always." He then goes to see Billy and says he wants to go through with trying to steal Reva away. He plans to sweep Reva into Billy's pickup truck so he can drive her to Tulsa. Reva, meanwhile, finds a box with sheet music and a demo CD by Jeffrey called "What the Hell, A Love Song." She listens to it and tears up. She leaves, finds Jeffrey at the municipal building, and tells him her cancer may be back. Jeffrey assures Reva that he loves her more than anything -through "sickness and health." Now back at home getting ready, Reva is talking to Marah when Josh arrives in the pickup. Josh hears Reva tell Marah that she and Jeffrey belong together and that she's happier than ever. Josh is struck and leaves before Reva can see him. Josh goes to the wedding site and tells Jeffrey about his plan to sweep Reva off her feet. Jeffrey says it wouldn't have worked anyway, which triggers Josh's anger. He tackles Jeffrey and the two fight in the mud. Reva, meanwhile, is dressed and ready to go when Rick calls and says that her test results are in. She says she'll find out about that later and heads to the wedding.
