May 9 - Daily Soaps Update
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
ere are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Victor explains to Sabrina that he asked Adam to move into the ranch and he's
accepted. Sabrina agrees to have Adam move in and Victor calls him to move
in today. Later, there is tension between Adam and Sabrina as he moves in
but Sabrina stands up to him.
Victoria watches David and Nikki's interaction closely. Nikki insists that
she needs to get used to her relationship with David and Victor's with
Sabrina. Things between Victoria and Sabrina start to thaw. Nikki and
Victor declare a cease-fire between the two. Later, Adam feels out of place
when he meets the staff at the ranch. Adam asks Victoria to join forces with
him against Sabrina. Victoria is stunned to learn that Adam has moved into
the ranch. Victor asks Sabrina to marry him. David does his best to remind
Nikki of all the reasons she fell in love with him. Meanwhile, Brad is
frustrated when his bookie can't get David to bet on a loser. Brad pushes
David to start paying back the money loaned to him. Amber and Daniel have
breakfast together after their first night living together. Amber, Daniel,
Kevin and Jana plan a double date. Adrian asks Colleen to go on his book
tour with him. Brad is impressed by Michael's legal maneuvering with
Adrian's publishing house. At the coffeehouse, as Jana prepares to start her
new job, Kevin also worries about the repercussions for Adrian's book being
published. Later, Michael makes progress in slowing down Adrian's book.
Adrian learns that his book tour has been cancelled and the book is put on
hold. Adrian blames Colleen for her father's actions. Colleen explains to
Adrian that she is going Shanghai. Kevin is ecstatic that Michael was able to
put Adrian's book on-hold. Michael however, remains stoic, still concerned
that the story could leak out from other sources. Adrian places various
calls to his agent and publisher, unable to get through. Kevin tries to
cover with Jana about the book but finally reveals to her the truth. Jana
panics but Michael assures her that he is doing everything he can to stop it.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
All of the wedding guests are on the edge of their seats impatiently awaiting
Eric's I do. Eric announces to Donna that he loves her, she's changed his
life and he will take her as his wife. The Forrester children are deeply
disappointed as the minister pronounces Eric and Donna husband and wife.
Eric looks over at a devastated Stephanie, who sits in complete disbelief.
Before leaving, Stephanie makes a toast to the couple. As Stephanie exits,
she realizes that the house that contained all of her memories now belongs
to someone else. Nick gets through to Katie and is able to cheer her up.
Katie's hopes are dashed when Nick mentions that he's been spending a lot of
time with Bridget. Later, Ashley reveals to Katie how the situation with Storm
was misinterpreted. Katie becomes overwhelmed with guilt when realizing
that it is her fault that Storm is gone.
AS THE WORLD TURNS
Emily discovers Casey's been bunking at the office to avoid dealing with what
he sees as his parents' betrayal. Emily suggests she and Casey celebrate the
successful story with champagne. Margo arrives in the midst of champagne
pouring, but Casey refuses to talk to her without Emily present. Margo makes
a heartfelt apology, which Casey refuses to accept. Emily takes Casey to
task for humiliating his mother. Casey comes home, finds Margo there, asks
her to stay and hear him out. Margo and Casey accept each other's apologies
and Casey promises to delay moving out. Casey reports to Emily that all is
well with his mom, and instructs Emily not to see him as a child.
Lily eavesdrops as eager Faith pumps Holden for details of his reunion with
Lily. Holden apologizes for the distance between them, but doesn't accept
Lily's attempt to spend time together. Jack and Holden have a rapprochement
regarding Jack's skittishness about Holden and Carly's friendship.
Brad and Katie's lovemaking is interrupted by Janet - who's brought donuts.
Janet insists they talk about Liberty and Brad agrees to do so, leaving
frustrated Katie alone. Liberty asks Katie if she and Brad asked Janet to
come. Katie reassures they didn't invite Janet.
Janet eases Brad into noting she still has an awesome figure. Katie's taken
aback when Liberty observes how little time it took for Janet to get Brad
alone. Tearful Janet blames Brad for not knowing he was a father. Janet
takes Brad to task for not calling after their one-night stand. When Liberty
casually mentions she wouldn't leave Janet alone with Brad too long, Katie is
suddenly ravenous. Janet gets emotional as she recalls her pregnancy, and
reaches out to Brad for comfort - which Katie sees. When Katie asks why
Janet decided to look Brad up now, Liberty disagrees with Janet's version of
the events. Liberty explains that she and Janet saw the wedding, and thus
spotted Brad. Katie's eager to get away from Janet, but Brad invites her for a
tour of the studio. Katie informs oblivious Brad that Janet's after him.
Janet okays Liberty skipping school so Lib can help her pick the perfect
dress to wear to visit WOAK. Janet whips out her va-va-voom dress. Brad
insists that despite Janet's plans, he loves only Katie. But Katie's still
worried about Janet.
Jack offers an olive branch to Carly in a coffee invitation, but is thrown
when she opts instead to tend to a "friend" - not realizing the friend is
Lily. Lily comes to Carly for advice about why Holden won't sleep with Lily.
Carly reluctantly agrees to help Lily out by talking to Holden. Carly
"accidentally" runs into Holden who admits that having Lily back is a little
strange. Holden explains to Carly why he doesn't want to rush into bed with
Lily. Carly convinces Holden to be patient with Lily. Carly tells Lily what
Holden's feeling and advises that Lily give Holden space, but Lily thinks
that's the wrong way to go. Holden reveals to Jack that he isn't eager to
return to the house with Lily, opting instead to take things a step at a
time. Lily convinces Carly to help Lily get Holden into bed.
GUIDING LIGHT
Early morning, and Lizzie tells the distant crying Peyton she's on her way.
Beth preps Peyton's stuff as Lizzie walks in with the baby. Bill tries to
charm Lizzie with chocolate and flowers, to no avail. Ava approaches Lizzie
and makes a questionable remark about Bill's attention to her. Lizzie
ignores her beeping phone and falls asleep. Bill gives a sick Roxy to the Vet to
examine and a relieved Lizzie finds Bill holding Roxy. Bill tells Lizzie he
misses her, and Lizzie tells him not to throw fatherhood away. Remy runs
into Ava and checks on how she's doing. Ava and Remy flirt, when Bill shows
up to put effort in Fatherhood.
Mallet and Dinah prep for his speech, Matt breaks the mood when he arrives to
talk to Dinah. Mallet and Marina flirt over file color-coding. Marina and
Dinah get into a fight over a chair, which represents Mallet. Mallet tells
Dinah he's proud of her.
