May 7 - Daily Soaps Update
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Lily returns from her photo shoot in Los Angeles looking fabulous. Chloe is
excited to get back to work but Cane is still worried about her. Chloe
announces to Lily that she will be on the cover of the premiere issue of
Restless Style. In the excitement Cane tries to reach out to Lily. Lily
admits she has been avoiding him. Lily asks Cane to start over with a first
date. Colleen meets with Adrian to tell him that she gave Brad an advanced
copy of his book. Adrian blows up with anger and goes to find Brad. Colleen
explains to Kevin that she needs more time to figure what to do about
Adrian's book. Kevin and Colleen clam up about the book when Jana arrives.
Colleen confesses to Jana that she may be leaving town. Jana is relieved when
she reveals to Kevin about her job offer and he is genuinely happy for her.
Adam is conflicted as he moves Victoria's belongings out of his new office.
Jana accepts Sabrina's job offer and asks what it is like to work for Victor
Newman. Sabrina reveals more than she intended about her feelings for
Victor to Jana. Adam questions the way he treated Victoria and his character.
Victor asks Adam to come live at the ranch. Meanwhile, Nikki helps calm
Victoria's nerves as she starts her first day at Jabot. As everyone
welcomes Victoria to the office, Jill becomes concerned that Victoria is
coming on too strong too fast. David asks Brad to keep quiet about giving
him a loan to cover his bets. Brad agrees. Later, David, Nikki and Victoria
work together on a cosmetics tie-in for a blockbuster film and all three
become excited at the prospect. David impresses Nikki with his business
savvy and she agrees to start planning a grand wedding for four months from
now. Later, Brad overhears David placing bets and tries to set him up to
fail. David and Nikki book the Colonnade room for their wedding. Victoria is
stunned to hear that they are planning to get married in August.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
Katie is appalled at her actions and becomes even more uncomfortable when Bridget asks her if Nick is seeing another woman. Bridget later confronts Nick and the look on his face is her answer. Nick confesses to Bridget that their relationship is moving too fast for him. After Rick kicks Ridge and Brooke out of Taylor's house, Brooke returns to speak with Taylor and is concerned to find her alone with the baby. Brooke threatens that as long as Taylor continues her relationship with Rick, Brooke will continue her fight to keep Taylor away from Jack. Brooke then exclaims to Taylor that she will see her in court.
AS THE WORLD TURNS
Jack discovers Parker has a game he didn't have permission to buy and demands
to know how Parker got it. Parker reluctantly admits that Liberty gave him
the money. Jack brings Parker in, and forces him to tell Brad and Katie the
truth. Liberty won the money on a dare, and they both went out on a
shopping spree. Brad calls the school, and finds out Liberty has been a
no-show. Liberty makes a deal with Brad, she'll go back to school, but she
wants her own room at the hotel. Katie is aghast, as Brad gives in to
Liberty. Liberty skips school again, and overhears Jack say Parker can hang
out with Liberty. Katie encourages Brad to call Liberty's mother and leaves
a voice message for Janet. Alone with Liberty, Parker apologizes for tattling on
her.
Mike takes Meg out for breakfast to thank her for taking care of his ankle.
Meg thinks Paul needs to go to prison to learn his lesson. Mike wants Meg to
drop the charges; but the restraining order against Paul will still be in
effect. Paul is very hung over when Sofie shows up. Paul is impassive, as
Sofie starts to unbutton her blouse, but Barbara enters. Sofie goes out.
Barbara warns Paul this has to stop - now. Paul gets called down to the police
station and is shocked to hear that the charges are being dropped. Mike
warns Paul, the charges against him are dropped, but the restraining order
remains in effect. Barbara presses Sofie to stay away from Paul. Paul tells
Sofie to stay away from him; they're a bad combination. Barbara invites
Sofie to the reopening of Metro. Meg thanks Mike for handling the Paul
situation. Mike wants to take Meg out for some fresh air. Paul thanks Meg
for dropping the charges against him. He promises he won't be a problem for
her; this is the last time she'll see him. Paul goes, leaving Meg
bereft.
GUIDING LIGHT
Bill, upset that Ava lied to Lizzie about using her to take over Spaulding,
hands her a check and tells her he doesn't want to hear from her again until
the baby's born. Remy comforts Ava as she breaks down about Bill and her
baby. Remy saves Ava from drinking and takes her out of there to liven her
mood. Remy and Ava start to make love. After some awkwardness, they finally
smile and plan to meet up the next day.
Alan and Lizzie finalize their plan to get Spaulding back. Beth invites
Lizzie to come live with her and Rick. As Remy helps Lizzie pack her car
trunk, Lizzie tells him she doesn't need him to work on Ava anymore. Lizzie,
visibly hurt, tells Bill she he just wants a clean break. Distracted by
thoughts of Lizzie, Bill can't concentrate on work. Bill holds a boom box over
his head under Lizzie's window but Lizzie ignores him. He gets a phone call
and jumps into his car, leaving only the boom box behind. Lizzie can't
resist any longer and she rushes out only to find that he's already
gone.
When Mallet tells Dinah he can't come over to celebrate, she invites him to a
different kind of party, in the back of the van. Mallet graciously
declines. Alan decides to stay at the boarding house, and Buzz and him
start up a game of cards.
