Best Supporting Actress
Will Win: Cate Blanchett is a highly acclaimed actress who deserves every praise. She is mercurial and flawless. In "I'm Not There," she plays Minnesota's own Bob Dylan. In this same year she is also nominated in the Best Actress category playing Queen Elizabeth the First. The two roles could hardly be further in range -- ancient Queen of England and a dynamic, troubled male musical genius. I think is likely Cate will go home with the Oscar in this category.
Deserves To Win: While I am a real Cate Blanchett fan, I believe Tilda Swinton, nominated for her role as the misguided attorney in "Michael Clayton," turned in a stronger performance.
