A New York man who pleaded guilty to smashing a Macy's store window while protesting the Republican National Convention has been sentenced to 30 days in jail.
Twenty-seven-year-old Glenn David Dyer, of Brooklyn, also received five years of probation during sentencing Thursday. If he satisfies probation requirements, his conviction on a felony count of first-degree criminal damage to property will be reduced to a misdemeanor.
His attorney says Dyer will likely be allowed to serve his probation in New York.
Dyer told a judge he had a "lot of time to think" about his actions, which he called "reprehensible." He admitted in March that he used a hammer to break the storefront window on Sept. 1, the first day of the four-day convention in St. Paul.

More than 800 people were arrested in connection to protesting the RNC in St. Paul.
