WCCO/Star Tribune Partner To Deliver Weather Info.

WCCO-TV and the Star Tribune announced Thursday evening that they will be forming a partnership that will start with WCCO.COM's Weather Blog and WCCO-TV's Weather Team being featured on the Weather page of the Star Tribune starting in Friday morning's newspaper edition.
The WCCO Weather Team of Chris Shaffer, Mike Fairbourne, Mike Augustyniak and Ron Trenda contribute to
WCCO.COM's Weather Blog, which is updated daily, and to the Star Tribune's print edition.
"We are combining the power of our two great brands in multiple ways that will benefit both our audiences and the Twin Cities community," said Susan Adams Loyd, the vice president and general manager of WCCO-TV. "As media organizations, we share strong journalistic values and both have long histories in the Twin Cities."
WCCO and the Star Tribune also plan to explore new ways to share content, sell advertising and promote new initiatives and products together in the future.
"The combination of these two market leaders offer readers and viewers more access to the best journalism in the region and provides unparalleled reach in the Twin Cities market," said Ben Taylor, the Star Tribune's senior vice president for marketing and communications.
