Angela Davis Named WCCO This Morning Anchor
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ―
WCCO-TV reporter Angela Davis has joined Bill Hudson and Chris Shaffer as co-anchor on WCCO 4 News This Morning, it was announced today by Scott Libin, WCCO-TV News Director. Davis will co-anchor the 5-7 a.m. newscasts Monday through Friday.
"WCCO is fortunate to have Angela as our morning anchor. I am excited to have her in that position and I look forward to working with her, Bill, Chris and the whole morning team to build the audience their newscast deserves," said WCCO-TV News Director Scott Libin.
Davis came to WCCO-TV in 2006, as a reporter for the morning news. Prior to her arrival, Davis co-anchored the morning and midday newscast at KSTP Channel 5. She previously worked as a reporter and weekend anchor at that station.
Davis has also worked in Dallas, Texas; Lexington, Ky. and Washington D.C. She began her career as a production assistant at CNN Atlanta.
Davis' appointment is effective immediately.
