Todd Palin To Visit Duluth Thursday

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) ― Todd Palin begins his northern Minnesota tour today.

His first stop will be Duluth. The husband of John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin will appear at a rally 2 p.m. at a Gander Mountain store. Senator Norm Coleman will join him.

From there, he has appearances in Grand Rapids at 4 p.m. and Bemidji at 6:30 p.m.

Todd Palin is a snowmobile racer, and tomorrow, he's due to tour the Arctic Cat snowmobile factory in Thief River Falls. He'll wind up his Minnesota visit in Moorhead.

The visits are coordinated by the McCain campaign and by motorized recreation enthusiasts.

Republicans are hoping Palin's visit can drum up support by appealing to voters on gun rights and outdoors issues in an area that has been reliably Democratic.
