RNC Protesters Sue St. Paul For Marching Routes

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ―

A antiwar group that plans to march during the Republican National Convention is suing the city of St. Paul to find out their route.

The city has granted the group a permit, but the protesters are worried that they'll be limited to a route that doesn't bring them within sight and sound of the Xcel Center. That's where the convention will be held Sept. 1.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Minneapolis. Lawyers from the American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota and the National Lawyers Guild say they'll ask for an expedited ruling.
