Pawlenty, Coleman To Address GOP Convention

ST. PAUL (AP) ― The crowning night of the Republican National Convention will feature a speech by Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty before nominee John McCain takes the stage.

Republican Senator Norm Coleman will get his time before delegates earlier in the Sept. 1-4 convention at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

A roster of speakers released Wednesday has Pawlenty down for a Thursday speaking slot. Coleman is scheduled for Wednesday.

Still unknown is who will occupy the slot reserved for the vice presidential nominee, a speech due to occur on Wednesday.

Several other governors and senators are planning to address the convention as well as some of McCain's rivals during the Republican presidential primary season.
