Gov. Tim Pawlenty is asking two cabinet members for advice on instability in the financial markets.
Pawlenty's office says Commerce Commissioner Glenn Wilson and Employment and Economic Development Commissioner Dan McElroy will serve as the Governor's Economic Outlook Analysis Team.
The team will look at the effect of the financial crisis on Minnesota jobs, economic development and state-regulated financial services companies. They will also recommend how to handle the situation.
Pawlenty says the state must do everything it can to weather the instability.
Wilson headed the government national mortgage association known as Ginnie Mae in the 1980s and a mortgage company in the 1990s. His agency regulates insurance, banking, real estate and securities.
McElroy heads the state's main economic development agency.
