Pawlenty, Steger To Talk Climate Change In Ely

Steger has asked the Republican governor to join him in the Canadian Arctic next May to see the effects of climate change with his own eyes.

Explorer Will Steger and Gov. Tim Pawlenty are teaming up again on global warming.
Pawlenty and Steger will host a community forum to discuss climate change next Friday in Ely.
The meeting at Vermilion Community College will include representatives of the mining and paper industries, academic experts and union advocates. Pawlenty's office announced the Jan. 4 meeting on Thursday.
Steger has asked the Republican governor to join him in the Canadian Arctic next May to see the effects of climate change with his own eyes. Pawlenty has said he is interested but has not accepted the invitation.
