Democratic lawmakers are touting the bipartisan spirit of this year's Minnesota legislative session.
Before boarding a plane at the St. Paul airport to tour the state, Democrats praised both sides for reaching an 11th-hour agreement on a budget package.
Assistant Senate Majority Leader Tarryl Clark says DFL and GOP negotiators were able to focus on issues that both sides could agree on, such as health care.
Lawmakers wrapped up the session just a few minutes before their deadline of midnight Sunday. Among the major bills is a health plan expected to help 12,000 more Minnesotans get health care and a temporary cap on property taxes.
Republican Governor Tim Pawlenty also is scheduled to tour Minnesota to discuss the session.
