Minn. Zoo Web Game Lets You Figure Out Who Pooped

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― The Minnesota Zoo has unveiled a new online game that lets you match animals with their respective piles of poop.

The game, appropriately called "Who Pooped?", features droppings from three different animals -- a giraffe, an ostrich and a zebra -- and asks players to guess which animal left which dump.

The zoo said their game is not only scatologically entertaining, but also educational.

According to the zoo, one can glean information about an animal's DNA, their eating habits and the health of their specific populations. The zoo cited the presence of parasites and diseases which can be traced through their scat.

Another benefit of poop: it sometimes affords scientists the opportunity to study animals who do not normally allow humans close proximity.

The game, which can be found at whopooped.org, was developed by Minneapolis ad agency Preston Kelly.
