Stolen Dog Found, Returned To Owner

(WCCO) A dog stolen along with an SUV last week has been found and returned to its owner.

JR, a 5-year-old dachshund, was riding in his owner Jim Wetch's SUV last Friday, when Wetch stopped at a gas station for some ice cream and dog treats.

Wetch left the keys in the car, and someone got in and took off, with JR in the backseat.

A Minneapolis man found JR in a boarded-up building and called animal control.

Wetch gave the man the $1,000 reward he had been offering for JR's return.  The man said he was going to use the money to buy headstones for his mother and sister who died five years ago.
