Woman Dies After Falling Off A Horse

WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) ― A woman from Parkers Prairie, Minn., died after falling from a horse in a jumping competition at the Red River Valley Fair in West Fargo. 

Patricia Troy, 57, died Wednesday in a Fargo hospital, a day after the fall.

Her husband, Mike, said his wife fell off the horse, landed on her back, and the horse stepped on her chest.

He said his wife appeared to be recovering from her injuries when she died. An autopsy is planned.
