Dog Shot Twice, Left For Dead In Snow Bank

(WCCO) A dog that was shot twice and left for dead in the cold is fighting for her life.

Rescuers with RAGOM (Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota) named this abandoned golden retriever Annie. She's being helped at the University of Minnesota's Veterinary Medical Center.

Good Samaritans found Annie in a snow bank near Glenwood, Minn. She was shot with one rifle shot going through her neck, including through her esophagus. The other went through her abdomen and exited through her chest. RAGOM said the shot through her chest fractured a rib and punctured her diaphragm.

Annie's in intensive care after surgeries, and her medical bills already top $7500. If you would like to donate to her care or would like more information about RAGOM, click here.
