2nd Decapitated Goat Found In Western Minn.

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (AP) ― Becker County sheriff's deputies are looking into the second goat decapitation in about a month in western Minnesota.

In the latest case, the maimed goat was found late Wednesday afternoon on a man's property a few miles west of Callaway.

Becker County Sheriff Tim Gordon says the man found the goat wandering his property a few days ago and tied it up hoping its owners would come claim it.

Gordon says it's clear this wasn't done by an animal. The head hasn't been found.

Last month, and about 44 miles south in rural New York Mills, another goat on private property was found decapitated. Authorities there also ruled out an animal attack, and the head wasn't found.
