Car Stolen With Owner's Pet Chihuahua Inside

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. (AP) ― There has been another case of a dog being swiped along with a car the owner left running.

Juanita Polyak's dog Brutis, a Chihuahua, was sitting in her car on Christmas Eve while the Arden Hills woman was in the pharmacy. When she returned, the car and Brutis were both gone.

Police found Polyak's car Tuesday night, but there was no sign of Brutis.

Polyak is 68 and lives on Social Security. She's had the dog for almost eight years and says she wants whoever took her dog to return him.

She says she knows leaving the car running was stupid, but she didn't want her dog to get cold.

Polyak hopes people will keep an eye out for Brutis -- a typical long-haired Chihuahua with brownish-red hair.
