Mpls. Snyders Employee Fights Off Armed Robber

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― A knife-wielding robber attempting to rob a Snyders Drug Wednesday encountered some resistance, according to police.

At around 9:30 a.m., a man entered a Snyders Drug located at 4600 Nicollet in Minneapolis and attempted to rob the pharmacy. He wore a mask and brandished a large knife.

Police said an employee fought off the robber while protecting other employees and himself.

The robber fled without stealing any money or merchandise.

He is being described as a white male, 5-feet-10-inch to 6-feet tall, chubby build, wearing a white hoodie, translucent Halloween mask, blue jeans and armed with a kitchen knife.

One employee sustained minor injuries.
