Statement From Rev. Mary Flowers-Spratt

(WCCO) My message to you is I totally support Lt. Amelia Huffman 100%

The transfer that the Chief did of Charlie Adams had nothing to do with "Race"

and Charlie knows that. It was because of his attitude with his supervisor.

I've known Charlie Adams since he was about 17 years old. He graduated from

North High School with my daughter. He is one of the best detectives in the

Police Department, but he need to work on his attitude, especially against

women in power.

The message I would send to Charlie is (since I am the President of my company

AWMIN and Pastor of the Greater Mount Nebo Community Baptist Church) is

had he gone over one of my supervisors head to the Media without my permission

he would have either been suspended without pay or terminated. The Chief

compromised.

We have been working on the (PCRC) Police Community Relation Council - Federal Mediation Agreement for four years asking the Police to tell the community the truth

and when we get the truth from a Police Officer just because she is "White" some of

our folk want to play the race card. "I don't think so". Lt. Amelia Huffman is one

officer that is fair and again I support her 100%. You can take that to the bank.
