Woman Dies In Anoka County Car Crash

EAST BETHEL, Minn. (WCCO) ― A woman is dead after an East Bethel car accident on Thursday night.

According to the police report, Vickie Lynn Kopka, 41, turned into oncoming traffic on Highway 65 at Sims Rd. She was then struck by another motorist driving a Tahoe.  Kopka was pronounced dead on the scene.

A 48-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were in the Tahoe. They are being treated at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids for non-life threatening injuries.

The fatal accident is currently under investigation by the Anoka County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
