Wis. Teen Shoots Himself In The Leg

JONES TOWNSHIP, Minn. (WCCO) ― An 18-year-old from West Salem, Wis. was hurt when he accidentally shot himself in the leg.

The accident happened Sunday afternoon near the Pine Point canoe landing in Jones Township, Minn. Authorities said Derek Scott Bohner accidentally shot himself with a handgun.

Bohner was taken to North Country Regional Hospital.

A Minnesota Department of Natural Resources officer assisted the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
