The Highway 43 bridge over the Mississippi River in Winona will be reopened to traffic in both directions on Friday.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation also says the sidewalk on the Wisconsin-bound side of the bridge will open to pedestrian and bicycle traffic for the first time since early June.
The bridge was closed for about a week in early June. It reopened to vehicle traffic about a month later after corroded gusset plates were repaired or replaced.
But then crews started making sidewalk repairs and working on a cleaning and painting project, causing single lane closures.
Starting Friday, both traffic lanes will be reopened to motorists.
