Authorities are investigating the death of a man who apparently fell into a fire at a campground near the southern Minnesota town of Waseca.
Rescuers were called to Kiesler's Campground & RV Resort east of Waseca on Saturday night.
Charlene Cukla of Blaine says she and others ran over to help the man, and one of them threw a wet towel on him. She says they rolled him over and realized he had died.
Waseca County Chief Deputy Brad Milbrath says no one witnessed the death, so an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause. He would not give an age for the victim, and his name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
No additional information is expected until early in the coming week.

Kiesler's Campground & RV Resort is next to Clear Lake, about 30 miles east of Mankato.
