Twins Close To Franchise Record For Season Tickets
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ―
With the lure of seats for the first year at Target Field, Minnesota Twins fans are on pace for a franchise record for season tickets in 2009.
The final year of play at the Metrodome begins in less than three months. The Twins announced Thursday they're on pace to approach the equivalent of 11,000 season tickets. Buying those plans before opening day gives customers priority for 2010 when the team moves into the new ballpark. Single-game tickets go on sale March 7.
Also Thursday, the Twins announced a sponsorship from U.S. Bank, after which the "Home Run Porch" seating section will be named.
