Life-Sized Twins Statues Coming To Downtown

(WCCO) You will soon be seeing some pretty popular Minnesota Twins players around town, or at least life-sized statues of them.

It's part of a program by the team and the Minneapolis Downtown Council.

Fans were on hand Tuesday at the IDS Center as they announced their plans to feature the statues of Harmon Kilebrew, Kirby Pukett and Joe Mauer.

Mauer did a little heavy lifting at the event and carried in a replica of his statue.

The statues will be at different spots around downtown Minneapolis starting in April 2010.
