Incoming T.C. Archbishop To See Pope

ST. PAUL (AP) ― The incoming head of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis will be in Washington, D.C., for Pope Benedict's visit.

Coadjutor Archbishop John Nienstedt will attend a prayer service today that the pope will deliver to the nation's bishops.

Nienstedt also will attend the pope's Mass tomorrow at the new baseball stadium in Washington.

Nienstedt is preparing to take over the Twin Cities archdiocese after Archbishop Harry Flynn retires. He says seeing the pope will help him with his new assignment.
