Truck Driver Drinks Water, Plows Through Bus Barns

TYLER, Minn. (AP) ― A semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries when he crashed through two bus barns and slammed into three empty school buses in southwestern Minnesota.

The truck driver told the State Patrol he was drinking water when he choked, lost consciousness and slammed into the building and the buses along U.S. Highway 14 in Tyler around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

No one was aboard any of the buses, which were parked. No one inside the bus barns was hurt.

The truck driver was treated for his injuries and released.

Authorities say the three buses were severely damaged.
