The state Transportation Department will further restrict traffic on the Highway 43 bridge in Winona for two days while it inspects the bridge.
Traffic on the bridge over the Mississippi River will be reduced to one lane on Thursday and Friday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The department closed the bridge earlier this month after inspectors found rust and corrosion, but re-opened it to two-way traffic last Saturday.
Once the new round of inspections is over, it will return to two-way traffic until repair work begins.
The bridge is in the only link between Minnesota and Wisconsin for miles up and down the river.
Traffic is still being limited to passenger vehicles. Heavier vehicles are not allowed, including semitrailers, buses, motorhomes and campers.
Pedestrians and bicyclists are also not being allowed on the bridge until its sidewalk is repaired.
