David and Rhonda Hill were married for 25 years. Though they divorced, David said he still loved her. He said the couple split because Rhonda Hill gambled too much and that's why it was so tough to learn she died when her tour bus rolled on the way home from a casino.
"If you've got people out there and you have something to say to them before they die, say it now because you can never say it once they're gone," said David.
"It's been a nightmare," he added. "You never expect anyone close in your family to die for unexplained reasons, especially when it's not under their control, somebody else is at the wheel."
Rhonda served in the U.S. Navy and more recently worked as a nursing assistant in a nursing home.
David said Rhonda lived for her son Levi Hill, an 18-year-old college freshman.
"To find out it was my mom, that just shook my world, just changed everything. It's unbelievable," said Levi.
Rhonda's family members said they want to know more about why this accident happened. Levi seemed angry but also so concerned about how his mother died.
"I want to hope that she didn't have to suffer," said Levi.
