Man Injured After Crashing Into Empty Squad Car

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (AP) ― A Fergus Falls man is injured after his car rear-ended a new sport utility vehicle belonging to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say Lieutenant Steve Todd wasn't inside the 2008 Ford Explorer when it was hit early Monday on Interstate 94 east of Moorhead. Clay County Chief Deputy Matt Ciiro says Todd was helping a state
trooper at the scene of a nearby crash.

The driver who rear-ended Todd is 26-year-old Justin Anderson. He received minor injuries.

Ciiro says it seems alcohol was involved.
