Club Closes Space To Nudists After Minor Shows Up

West St. Paul, Minn. (AP) ― A West St. Paul, Minn., athletic club has stopped providing space for a nudist club after a 14-year-old boy showed up for an event with his parents.

The nudist club has been using the pool, hot tub and other amenities at the Southview Athletic Club for more than four years.

But owner Scott Richardson began having second thoughts after the boy came to the club for the nudists' "Swim-and-Fun Night."

Police told Richardson the minor's participation wasn't illegal as long as nothing sexual took place. Even so, Richardson decided he would no longer rent to nudists if minors participated. He says he wasn't comfortable with it.

Richardson also closed the pool and hot tub for financial reasons, and the nudists decided to look for a different venue.
