If you just can't wait until tomorrow, there are a few stores that are open today, many offering deals-galore.
Most Wal-Mart stores around the country will be open all day Thursday. Some are not, so it's good to call ahead. A spot-check of Twin Cities Wal-Marts found that most of the larger, so-called "Super Centers" were open, while the smaller stores were not.
Most Kmart stores and Walgreens are also open Thursday.
About two-thirds of the Old Navy stores around the country will also be open on Thursday. They will be offering deals all day long as well, including 50 percent off sweaters. Some Gap and Banana Republic stores will also be open Thursday.
A number of Cub Foods around the Twin Cities will also be open until 2 p.m. Thursday.
For all the stores, it's always good to call ahead to make sure the particular location you're going to will be open.
Once the clock turns midnight -- it's open season on holiday shopping. Toys R Us is opening at midnight and said they will offer 70 unadvertised specials between midnight and 1 a.m.
The Albertville Premium Outlets will also open at midnight. Last year, cars lined up on Interstate 94, trying to get to the stores in the middle of the night.
Most stores open between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. Friday. Best Buy opens at 5 a.m., but people have been waiting in line at the Best Buy in Richfield, Minn. since about noon on Wednesday, hoping to score some deals for 50 percent off.
Of course, the Internet is always open. Many retailers are offering their "Black Friday" deals on Thanksgiving Day online, as is online-only retailer Amazon.com
