Shackled Man Nearly Escapes By Removing His Pants

(WCCO) A prisoner flew by the seat of his pants -- or lack thereof -- during a recent attempted escape.

The man, who was shackled and being taken to the hospital by a Wisconsin officer, managed to escape by ditching his shackled pants and fleeing the scene around 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

When the officer was driving the man, he pulled over to the side of the freeway and the man got out of the car. A struggle ensued between the officer and the man before the prisoner ran across the freeway and fled the scene sans pants.

The prisoner was located later Saturday morning and brought to Lakeview Hospital, before being transferred to Regions Hospital for frostbite injuries.
