Voters in the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop School District approved one of the two questions on Tuesday's bond referendum.
Voters approved just over $4 million to replace the boilers and add or upgrade the air exchange units in all three schools, and add automatic light sensors and new locker rooms at the high school. The money also would go to adding a band room and adding new seating and remodeling the theater.
Voters rejected the proposal to spend just under $1.3 million for improvements to entrances and loading zones for safety and security.
