Attendant In Plane Fire No-Show At Court

FARGO, N.D. (AP) ― A flight attendant from Minnesota charged with setting fire to an airplane bathroom failed to show for a federal court appearance in Fargo on Friday.

U.S. District Judge Rodney Webb ordered that Eder Rojas be found and arrested. The Woodbury, Minnesota, man is charged with knowingly and willfully setting fire to an aircraft. He's pleaded not guilty.

Rojas earlier was ordered to a Fargo halfway house. Court officials say he was last seen about 3:30 a.m. Friday.

Defense attorney Steven Light told Webb that Rojas has been "incredibly unreceptive" and won't speak to Light.

The May 7 Compass Airlines flight from Minneapolis to Regina, Saskatchewan, made an emergency landing in Fargo. The federal complaint against Rojas says he was upset with the airline for making him work the route.
