Reward Raised To $12,000 In Pine County Arson Case

PINE CITY, Minn. (AP) ― The reward has been raised to $12,000 for information leading to an arrest in last month's rash of arson fires that destroyed cabins on Big Pine Lake near Finlayson.

Twelve empty cabins and a sportsmen's club were torched April 13th. Some of the buildings also were burglarized. No one was hurt.

Pine County Chief Deputy Steve Ovick says authorities have received over 100 tips, but they've led nowhere, and investigators are no closer to making an arrest than they were five weeks ago.

Anyone with information should call Minnesota Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
