Delta, NWA Merger May Be Revived

(WCCO)

The merger between Delta and Northwest Airlines may be revived.

Several media outlets are reporting that Delta pilots approved a merger contract.

The merger has been hung-up over a dispute over seniority between the airlines' pilots.

Sources said Northwest pilots would be asked to join under a single contract later.

Delta is not commenting.

In a statement to WCCO, NWA pilot union Communication chairman, Greg Rizzuto said:

"We are unaware of any development at this time and will withhold specific comment until details are confirmed. We would suggest however any negotiations that do not involve all parties are rarely successful."
