Right wing Zach Budish of Edina was the first Minnesotan off the board.

Ten Minnesota natives were selected on the second day of the NHL draft.
Right wing Zach Budish of Edina was the first Minnesotan off the board. Budish was taken 41st overall in the second round by Nashville despite missing last season with a knee injury.
Little Falls forward Ben Hanowski was the second pick of the third round by Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh. The third round also featured Maple Grove defenseman Josh Birkholz being picked by Florida, Minnetonka defenseman Troy Hesketh going to Edmonton and Totino Grace forward Daniel Delisle heading to Chicago.
The other picks Saturday were Faribault defenseman Seth Helgeson, St. Paul defenseman Nick Jensen, Edina forward Anders Lee, Bloomington defenseman Michael Sdao and Duluth East center Maxwell Tardy.
