Motorcyclist Killed In St. Francis Crash

A 49-year-old motorcyclist was killed in St. Francis, Minn. Thursday evening.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. at Ambassador Boulevard and Bridgestone Street.
Witnesses told police that a motorcyclist was headed east on Ambassador Bouelevard and a car was headed west on Ambassador when the car went to turn south onto Bridgestone Street. Police said the driver of the car turned directly into the path of the motorcyclist who was not able to stop.
The motorcyclist, who was from Princeton, Minn., was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car is a 20-year-old woman from Nowthen, Minn.
Police do not believe that alcohol or chemical use was a factor in this crash. The St. Francis Police Department, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office continue to investigate.
