So far in 39 riders have died, compared to 37 at this time last year. A total of 61 riders died on Minnesota roads last year.
The Department of Public Safety (DPS) puts out the warning now because they said September is typically one of the deadliest months for motorcycle crashes.
The DPS said the most common factors in motorcycle crashes are speed, inexperience, inattention, and impairment.
The Department also encourages riders to take a safety course, wear protective gear and ride sober.
