Motorcyclist Killed After Striking Deer On I-694

(WCCO) A motorcyclist was killed in the north metro late Thursday night after the biker struck a deer and was then struck by a car.

The crash happened on eastbound Interstate 694 at White Bear Avenue around 10:50 p.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the motorcyclist was in the left lane when that person hit a deer and was thrown from the bike. An 18-year-old Maplewood, Minn. man driving a 2002 Mazda Protégé struck the biker, who was lying in the left lane of the interstate.

The driver of the Protégé was not injured.

The Minnesota State Patrol, the Ramsey Sheriff's Office and the White Bear Lake Police Department all responded to the crash.
