Officials Pull Body From Mississippi

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ― Hennepin County officials have pulled a body out of the Mississippi River near the Stone Arch Bridge.

The body was seen floating near the Lower St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam on Sunday afternoon. It was not immediately clear if it was a man or a woman.

Dozens of people were watching from the bridge as authorities retrieved the body from the river. An Associated Press reporter at the scene said the body was placed in a bag and put in the medical examiner's vehicle.
