Missing Grandmother Found At Wis. Hotel

WADENA, Minn. (WCCO) ― A Minnesota grandmother was found safe in a Wisconsin hotel after going missing for a few days.

According to the Wadena Sheriff's Department, 72-year-old Shirley Chromey went missing last Thursday.

Her family said she was lost while driving from Wadena to Lake Mills, Wis. She was apparently traveling with a Shih Tzu dog.

Her family said they were worried because she suffered from memory problems.

According to Chromey's granddaughter, she was located at a hotel in Eau Claire, Wis. at about 11 p.m. Saturday.

It appeared a 911 call was placed from her phone there at about 11 that morning, but police had issues finding the exact location of the call.
