Minn. Astronaut To Make Her 2nd Spaceflight

ST. PAUL (AP) ― A Minnesota astronaut is due to make her second spaceflight next month.

St. Paul native Heidi Stefanyshyn-Piper is due to fly on the shuttle Endeavour's mission to the International Space Station. It's scheduled to launch November 14th.

Stefanyshyn-Piper will make three space walks during the 15-day mission.

During her first mission in 2006, she became the first woman from Minnesota to walk in space. She completed two spacewalks during a 12-day mission to the space station then.

The 45-year-old is a 1980 graduate of Derham Hall High School in St. Paul. She now lives in Houston with her husband and three children.
