Missing Mexican Grey Wolf Spotted In Ham Lake

FOREST LAKE, Minn. (WCCO) ― Animal experts now know where to look for a wolf that's been out of its cage since Sunday.

A viewer sent a cell phone picture to WCCO-TV Tuesday night showing what looks to be the wolf. He said was driving in Ham Lake when he spotted the Mexican gray wolf.

Animal care coordinator Matt Row said with relative confidence that it is the missing wolf.

It disappeared Sunday night from the Wildlife Science Center in Columbus, which is about two miles away from Ham Lake.

Workers at the center are worried someone will mistake it for a coyote and shoot it.
