Officers shredded documents at the Metro Gang Strike Force headquarters hours after state officials announced plans to suspend the force to deal with questionable financial records.
The Star Tribune reports that shredded documents were found in trash bins and paper residue was found in the office and garage in New Brighton. The report was based on an e-mail sent by Strike Force commander Chris Omodt to members of an advisory board.

Omodt also said someone had turned off a computer that records who enters the building with a security card.
