Charges: Woman Tried To Smuggle Pot Into Jail

STANLEY, Wis. (WCCO) ― A Minneapolis woman has been charged with trying to smuggle drugs into the Stanley Correctional Institution.

The inmate who was to have received the marijuana has also been charged.

A criminal complaint says prison officials got a tip that the woman was delivering drugs to an inmate. It says a drug-sniffing police dog helped discover marijuana in the woman's car during her recent visit to the prison.

Twenty-five-year-old Shirley Ann Orleans-Lindsay is charged possession with intent to deliver marijuana to a prison.

The inmate, 28-year-old Brock Larson, is charged with solicitation of marijuana delivery, among other counts.
