Former Minnesota Vikings Owner's Mansion Auctioned

ORONO, Minn. (AP) ― One of the most expensive mansions in the Twin Cities area is up for auction.

Former Minnesota Vikings co-owner James Jundt and his wife Joanne put the home on Lake Minnetonka up for sale for $53.5 million two years ago, but it hasn't sold.

According to Sheldon Good & Co., a Chicago-based firm that's handling the auction, the deadline for sealed bids is Dec. 9. The estate will be available in its entirety or as five 2-plus-acre parcels.

The 40,000-square-foot mansion was built in 1918 for the Pillsbury family. In 2006, then-President George Bush appeared there for a GOP fundraiser.
